This Youth Code is designed to guide the adolescents and young adults of Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini in embracing our values, traditions, and customs.These 9 principles aim to foster a sense of responsibility, respect, and unity among our youth, helping them grow into well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to our community and the wider world.

Honor and listen to the wisdom of our elders, understanding that they are the keepers of our traditions and history.


Engage in community activities and cultural practices with enthusiasm and respect for our ancestors’ legacy.


Actively learn and speak our native language to keep it alive for future generations.


Participate in cultural practices, ceremonies, and events to deepen understanding and appreciation of our heritage.

This code of conduct is a living document that reflects the values and aspirations of the Algonquin People. It is expected that all adolescents and young adults uphold these principles, contributing to the strength, unity, and vibrancy of our community now and for generations to come.

We are dedicated to empowering young people to become active and responsible members of their communities.
